About

Fieldwork Facility is a design studio for uncharted territories.
We work in the intersection of communication, innovation and place.

Our work spans designing campaigns, branding and experience design, we also invent products and we innovate services. With our clients and collaborators we use communication and technology to create projects that invite a near future closer.

Profile:

Since starting the studio in 2010 we have worked across the cultural, educational, hospitality, design, Sport R&D and place sectors; our work has been featured in Bloomberg CityLab, WIRED, What Design Can Do, Creative Review, FastCo, Design Week and the Guardian.

We have been awarded several times by D&AD, Creative Review’s Annual, the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) and Design Week who nominated Robin Howie our Founder and Creative Director as a Rising Star in British design.

It’s our belief that design can create conversations and have an effect in the social fabric that we live in. The studio doesn’t have a ‘house-style’, instead our work is underpinned by rigorous research, a conceptual integrity and crafted execution.

Through our projects we aim to create dialogues between people, objects, ideas, materials and places, the aim of these dialogues is to create impactful communications that not only deliver on a briefs objectives but create a public good in the process.

In a recent article AIGA’s Eye on Design said ‘Fieldwork Facility’s definition of design citizenship is changing the way we live in cities’.
