Bouillabaisse Identity

Bouillabaisse

An identity for a Mayfair restaurant focussed on Coastal Cuisine

Bouillabaisse is Kurt Zdesar's new restaurant, a Mayfair establishment focussed on Coastal Cuisine born out of first-hand conversations with fishermen across the globe. We worked with Bouillabiasse establishing their positioning and visual identity before handing over to interiors firm Superfutures.

Bouillabaisse’s visual identity comes from the sea, imagery made with salt and simmering water (both borrowed from the cooking process of a Bouillabaisse stew) conjures the ocean. The logo and monogram have the appearance of being painted onto a fishing vessel's hull and weathered by the ocean. Typography brings an elegant balance to these casual elements carrying a tone of voice for a sophisticated customer used to jumping off the yacht and straight into the restaurant.
